August 2, 2003 at Tokyo Rose
August 2 is forever a date that will be remembered in the Silent Muse Calendar. Not only was this the first headlining show, but this was the first show where people truly began to see what Silent Muse could be. The days of the "One-Man-Band" were over as Chad, who had coincidentally been the DJ at the first show, now joined Patrick onstage playing Guitar. DJ JU5T1CE, who would become Silent Muse's "House DJ," kept the crowd, which was much larger than anyone anticipated, pumped for the show. JDavyd Williams, of In Tenebris, who also opened for the band as a solo act, joined the group onstage for the first live performance of Salieri, playing Codename: Ghetto, a trashcan instrument of Patrick's design and doing backup vocals. This was also the show that set the standard for Silent Muse Live Performances: Deep, Emotionally Charged music, incredibly silly antics in between. From Strong-Bad samples to Peanut Butter Cups, the band kept the crowd entertained before, during, and after every song. This was the show that proved the band would be here to stay. |
