Silent Muse started out as a dream. Fooling around with a keyboard, having fantasies of performances, Patrick Allen called his little made-up band Silent Muse because of the frustration he had over his own writing ability. Later, making low-quality remixes in his spare time, he used the name to make himself sound more professional. And when he finally began programming music, he had grown so used to the name that he put it on all the CDs of his original compositions that he gave to friends. But only a handful of people know Silent Muse as this. Many more know the name from a show at the Dawning, opening up for The Last Dance, where one man got onstage to a pre-programmed soundtrack and poured out his heart for a little over a half an hour. Even more became familiar when Chad VanPelt came aboard and brought a punch Patrick had been missing. And when Tom lynch brought his incredible talents to the sound, Silent Muse began to become a name that refused to be forgotten by those who heard it. |
